The pressed burleys provide earth, wood, nuts, sugar, some molasses, toast, a hint of cocoa, and a pinch of spice in the background. The strength and nic-hit are a couple of steps past the mild mark. The taste is a couple of notches past the center of mild to medium. The lightly applied sweet vanilla casing on one of the burleys mildly tones down the blend. No chance of bite or harshness. It does have a few minute rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a very consistent flavor from start to finish. Barely leaves any dampness in the bowl. Requires few relights. Has a lightly lingering, very pleasant after taste, and room note. Although designed to be a blending component, it does well on its own as an all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
