The musty sweet Cyprian Latakia offers smoke, wood, earth and a little incense as the lead component. The Orientals provide floralness, earth, wood, spice, herbs, vegetation, light buttery sweetness and some sourness as a supporting player. The Virginias include some tart and tangy citrus, tangy dark fruit, earth, wood, grass, bread, and light sugar. They form the base of the blend. The strength and nic-hit are a couple of steps past the center of mild to medium. The taste is a slot shy of the medium mark. Won’t bite or get harsh, and has few rough notes. Burns a tad warm and clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent, mildly sweet and spicy, floral and savory flavor that translates to the short lived, pleasant after taste. The room note is a tad stronger. Barely leaves any dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. An all day smoke that has less depth than it should have. Two and a half stars.
