Sutliff Tobacco Company TS9 Maryland
(3.50)
TS9 Maryland is an unflavored mix of Burley and Virginia. Smokes subtle. Unparalleled as a base blend.
Notes: Per Pipes and Cigars: Blending Maryland is a tobacco that is similar in flavor to white burley, soft and somewhat neutral, but what makes it remarkable is how it burns. It stays lit easily, but burns fairly cool. If you have a blend burns hot and/or fast, adding some Maryland can rectify the problem while not affecting the flavor all that much.:
Also, Tobacco Pipes and Cup of Joes (and others) list this a Burley/Virgina.

This is a blending tobacco but I really like it on its own. It really reminds me of Carter Hall, not that it tastes like Carter Hall. The cut is similar and so is the burn rate and the creaminess of the smoke. It does not bite. It is easily an all day smoke. It does blend well as stated by the Pipes and Cigars description.

Note: Sutliff and numberous sites list this as Burley and Virgnia blend.
Jar note of mild cocoa, grass, and spices. The brown ribbon cut tobacco has a little tan and dark brown mixed in. Moisture content is good, but some may want to dry it. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is mild to medium and mostly consistent, with notes of wood, molasses, leather, earth, toasted bread, mildly sweet, mild cocoa, creamy like, spice, vegetation, dry, mildly spicy, hay, a bitter nutty background note, and a peppery retro. Burley is leading with Virginias barely supporting. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great.
