My first time with this tobacco and very good it is too. Lights easily from the tin. The reason for buying this in the first place was because I have been waiting to get hold of some Solani Festival for ages so in the meantime I thought I would give this a go. There are similarities as you would guess. Just the right amount of sweetness with the Mango taking the lead at first. The taste is well blended with the tobacco. Very pleasant, smooth and easy. Didn’t leave any moisture in the bowl afterwards. No bite at all. So happy to have bought this and will again. Give it a go. Update 2021. I have actually become a bit jaded with this blend. It is still good, it’s more me as I prefer natural tobacco with no added flavour. So on my latest outing with this( rather than wasting it) I mixed it with Golden Glow Virginia which improved the smoke no end. No more aromatic tobacco for me. Just a personal thing.

Chieftain - Lazy Day Mixture.

Removing the lid reveals a blend which has an identical appearance to Ashton's Guilty Pleasure. The nose is quite olfactory, having mango at the forefront. The moisture's resplendent, so no airing's required.

The smoke? Quite decadent! The fruit outweighs the vanilla, with the mango being easy to identify. There's also a tart, almost passion fruit, like flavour. I get an infinitesimal 'touch' of vanilla, a slight smoothing, but this doesn't have the weight of the other additives. Of the tobaccos I get more Burley and Virginia; the Burley leads by a jot. I find the Cavendish (black) joins the added vanilla by giving a subtle 'calmness' to the smoke, but nothing too sticky. As we're on 'Lockdown' I've smoked my pipe solidly and am yet to have a single bite from this. Also, adding to the comfort, is the temperature of the smoke: cool.

Nicotine: below medium. Room-note: nice.

Lazy Day Mixture? I couldn't smoke it regularly, as an 'all day smoke', but it deserves three stars:

Recommended.
