Opening the square tin you’re met with a nice ribbon cut, with some pieces more like a ready rubbed flake. It packs nicely and is slightly on the moist side.
Takes a light well, and burns easily to a white ash, with a normal amount of relights.
Burns fairly cool, although being predominantly Virginia it will try to bite if puffed too quickly.
The predominant flavour is of a general high quality straight Virginia. Floral, mild citrus, grassy, burnt toast, and a slight sweetness.
The write up on here says it contains black cavendish, I’d imagine that the cavendish contains the fruit flavourings as mentioned, but since my tin is around 10 years old, that flavouring has probably faded, and isn’t very recognisable, although I do pick it up every now and then as a delicious brown sugary sweet flavour (could also just be the black cavendish)
It is a very pleasant blend, and in my opinion it rivals some of the better known straight Virginia blends.
Everything is mild, with the taste bordering the mild/medium threshold at times.
