The smoky, woody, earthy, musty sweet Cyprian Latakia takes a small lead over the earthy, nutty, lightly sweet cube cut burley. The lemon Virginia provides tangy, tart citrus, a fair amount of grass and a slight floral note in a secondary role. The moderately rich rum topping tones down the tobaccos rather mildly The strength and taste just reach the medium level. The nic-hit is just past the center of ild to medium. Won’t bite, but it occasional has very small rough and sharp notes. Burns fairly cool, very clean and slow chiefly due to the burley. The sweet and mildly savory flavor is very consistent from top to bottom, and translates to the lingering after taste. Leaves a little dampness in the bowl. Needs some relights. Not quite an all day smoke.
