This Scandinavian blend combines rich Virginias and ripe brown burley tobacco. By pressing the blend under carefully regulated conditions, we wed the different characters of the leaves to an extra mild blend.
The grassy, earthy, citrusy, bready Virginias also sport some dark fruit and a little wood as the lead components. The nutty, earthy, woody, mildly molasses sweet brown burley plays an important support role. Black cavendish isn’t mentioned in the pouch description, but I see a little of it. It adds a sugary smoothness to the mix. The toppings include a moderate amount of vanilla, a mild undertone of nougat, and a light fruitiness. The strength level is a couple of steps past mild, while the taste is one rung shy of the center of mild to medium. The nic-hit is very mild. It won’t get harsh, but the potential for tongue bite is present, for which I deduct a star. Burns a touch warm and very clean at a reasonable pace with a mostly consistent sweet flavor from start to end. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, short lived after taste and room note. An all day smoke.
