The nutty, earthy, woody, lightly sharp and sweet burleys gets fair support from the grassy, citrusy Virginia cavendish. The unsweetened black cavendish provides some smoothing sugar. The “exotic flavoring” are hard to define. I do sense mild tangy pineapple, lightly tart mango, Jamaican rum, sweet fruit, and certainly some classic Danish spice in the mix. A little of the spice and fruit may come from the rum. The toppings tone down the tobaccos to a moderate extent, and possess no chemical or artificial notes. The strength is a step past the mild mark, while the taste level is a rung beyond that. The nic-hit is mild. The spice content is potent enough to suggest a slow smoking cadence. Burns fairly cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a very consistent sweet flavor with a savory note. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, lightly lingering fruity after taste. An all day smoke. While I rate this at three stars, I consider it to be a two and a half star blend due to the bite potential.
