I'm not a heavy admirer of Danish type blends but I am one when it comes to TAK. Pricing of this one is also very nice so I thought I'll give it a try.
Look in the pouch tells a story of ripe Virginia leafs equally shared with dark Cavendish but both rather small cut and few moisture. Cold smell is of warm sweet vanilla and bread loaf. Packs very well and takes flames immediately then burns nice and steady without needing much of attention. Leaves only light grey ashes and hardly any condensate in the pipe.
With the first tokes there's a full sweet taste of VA and creamy vanilla on top. Doesn't feel fake and just the needed amount of flavoring. When smoked slowly some beautiful tangerine notes combine with the vanilla and the BC is adding a nice depth that reminds of black tea. Some spices maybe would thrill up the smoke a bit but that is just a fine Touch I'd add.
No tongue bite in this well balanced aromatic that doesn't penetrate with its flavors. The room note is exactly what people expect of a typical pipe tobacco.
