The base of the blend is the Virginias, which are mildly grassy and citrusy along with a little dark fruit and some earth. They get a bit of competition from the spicy, raisiny, figgy, plumy Louisiana perique. The spicy sweet, rich Jamaica rum topping sublimates the tobaccos to a fair extent. The strength is just past the center of mild to medium. The taste level is medium. The nic-hit is in the center of mild to medium. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool and clean at a slightly slow pace as curly cuts often do, and this blend is a little moist, too. The flavor is consistently medium sweet with a touch of savory spice. Leaves a little moisture in the bottom of the bowl. Requires a few relights. The pleasant after taste lingers a mite as does the room note. An all day smoke with a light punch. Three and a half stars.
