Motzek VB (Twist)

(3.00)
The tobacco leaves used for the "aged"series must be matured for 3-5 years. Afterwards they are soused in juices made from herbs, and then they are rolled or pressed for another half year. Every month finest tobaccos (70% Virginias/20% burley /10% perique) are spun from hand in small batches to prepare the next batch.
Notes: Inside the bags there are soused rose petals (with herbs, spices, liquor, i.e.), which can be packed along with the tobacco itself.

One of the best Tobaccos I have ever smoked in my entire life - try to get your hands on it if you're not in Germany and also order the "Twist&Sea", "Micha's Cake" and "Tom's Cake" and you'll be forever grateful to me - as I have been providing for maybe the most pleasant hours of your life!
Pipe Used: Bruyere
PurchasedFrom: https://dein-tabak.de/
Age When Smoked: freshly bought - but it's allready aged

The Virginias provide a fair amount of tart and tangy citrus, earth, wood, bread, grass, vegetation, some tangy dark fruit and sour lemon, floralness, a little sugar, honey, light spice and a few acidic notes. They are the lead tobacco components. The earthy, woody, nutty, mildly molasses sweet burley is in-between a secondary and condimental position. The mildly spicy perique offers earth, wood, plums, light figs and the barest hint of raisins possible. It is a rung above the condiment mark. The herbal, floral toppings sublimate the tobaccos to a medium degree. The very floral, scented rose petals are juiced with herbs, spices, and some link of liquor, and are the main attraction in the mix. The use of them creates flavor variences. If you don’t add them, you stand a better chance to taste the rest of the ingredients. Otherwise, you will notice the tobaccos, but not nearly as much as the extras, although the toppings do weaken a mite in the third quarter of the experience on the non-rose varietals. The strength just falls short of the strong level. The taste is a notch short of being full. The nic-hit is a couple of steps below the strength threshold. Won’t bite or get harsh, but there are some rough edges. The rope is easily cut to suit your packing preference. Burns cool, clean and a little slow with a fairly consistent sweet and spicy, florally vegetative, muddled flavor that extends to the long lingering after taste. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a fair amount of relights. Not an all day smoke by any means. Two and half stars.
