Mission Pipe Shop English Oriental
(3.00)
This classic English blend brings together Orientals, black cavendish, Mexican burleys and Cyprus latakia resulting in an exotic flavor, uniquely its own. This distinctly non-aromatic blend produces an astonishing array of refined flavors ranging from mild to medium strength. This is a true Balkan mixture and is our biggest selling English mixture – a long time favorite.

The mildly spicy, woody, smoky, lightly floral and sour Orientals take a little of the lead here. The smoky, woody sweet Cyprian Latakia is a supporting player. The nutty, earthy, barely sweet burleys are a condiment at best. The grassy, citrusy Virginias have a touch of earth, and are a rung less obvious than the burley. The vanilla-ish, lightly creamy black cavendish provides a little smoothness in a minor role. The strength is at the center of mild to medium, and the taste is a step past that level. The nic-hit is just past the mild mark. Won’t bite or get harsh, but has hints of a rough edge at times. Well balanced, it burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a mostly consistent flavor. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a lightly lingering pleasant after taste. An all day smoke.
