D & R Tobacco Blenders Bench: Blonde Virginia
(4.00)
D&R is a relatively new entry into the premium pipe tobacco market but they have burst onto the scene due to the quality of the leaf they use and the care in which they assemble these fine blends. Ranging from very mild to a nice strong flavor profile these blends have been well received by the pipe smoking community.

This Virginia offers a lot of citrus, some grass, a touch of honey, and a bit of sugar. The strength and taste levels are medium. The nic-hit is around the center of mild to medium. Won’t bite or get harsh. It does have a bare hint of acidity, but it’s not distracting in any way. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a consistent flavor from top to bottom. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires n average number of relights. Has a pleasant after taste and room note. Does well as a straight smoke and a mixer.
