The black cavendish offers some brown sugar, and seems to have a little toasty quality to it. The deeply rich vanilla is the main topping while the butterscotch is a tad more than a condiment. The nic-hit is very light. The strength level is a hair past mild, while the taste is closer to mild than it is to medium. No chance of bite or harshness, and has no dull moments. The tobacco is quite moist, and may need some dry time, though I saw no need to do so. Burns cool, clean, and a little slow with a moderately creamy sweet, consistent flavor from start to finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no goop. Requires some relights, and the number depends on whether or not you give it any dry time. Has a pleasant after taste and room not. An easy going all day smoke that would make a good mixer, too.
I'll begin by pointing out what you'd expect from a blend named Vanilla Black Cavendish: it's jet black, smells of vanilla, and is soaked! So be prepared for a long airing. The smoke's faultless though.
The vanilla's the most formidable flavour, but there seems to be an extra topping: something sweet. The smoke's heavy and sticky, in both build and taste. The tobacco flavour's one dimensional: clumsy black cav'. I don't think ANYONE would get a bite from this one! It burns well enough, but even when dried correctly the hefty casing can make it in need of a few re-lights.
The richest tobacco I’ve ever tasted. It’s like Black Forest cake, but with vanilla. Jet black, dense, and packed with flavor. If I’m going to smoke an aromatic, I don’t want it to be apologetic about it, and this one fits that bill. Absolutely delicious.
If you like BCA, and you like vanilla, you will probably like this. The vanilla note is very nice out of the pouch and fills the room, garnered an instant comment from my wife. The black cavendish is very moist, likely from the topping. It does burn fairly well however, and did not produce bite. Taste is as sweet as expected, the vanilla comes through very nicely. Makes a room smell amazing. Sure to please an aromatic lover, enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Upon opening, I was met with an amazing Vanilla note, only surpassed by the incredible taste and room note. I can't quite pick up on the underlying flavor that adds a little complexity, but something is there and it is wonderful. It came to me a little wet, but that wasn't really a problem- dry it out if you like, but it is not necessary. Burns well with minimal relights. I cannot say a single bad thing about this tobacco. This is the best Van Cav I have ever smoked, it is exactly what I imagine when I think of a Vanilla Black Cav. Easily an all day smoke.
This has become my go-to smoke and if I could only smoke one tobacco (perish the thought) it would be this blend
Best Vanilla Black Cavendish I've ever had. Checks all the boxes.....Flavor, aroma, thick smoke, burn rate, no bite.....all excellent. My favorite daily smoke. If you like aromatics this is a must try.
WOOOOOOOOOWWW that all i can say basically !! This Tobacco is sooooo good it smells Amazing better than every room freshener !! It smokes cold no tongue burn the taste is very good low nicotine level tobacco perfect for a whole day smoke!!
If you're someone who typically doesn't enjoy aromatic blends because they don't have as good of a flavor compared to an English, I recommend giving Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish a try. It has a great vanilla flavor that is very rich, with a great mouth feel. This one actually tastes a lot like it smells. It's also very forgiving if you smoke it too fast. I've not experienced any tongue bite with this one, but I do try to smoke slowly. I'm someone who primarily smokes English blends, but have been smoking indoors more lately with the cold weather. I try to smoke aromatics if I'm near other people (like my wife). This blend definitely hits the spot for me smell and taste-wise. It will stay in my rotation. It would also be good if you wanted to mix it with another blend to add more sweet vanilla flavor.
If you don't like aromatics, move on because this tobacco is very good. It is black cavendish and it does have a strong but pleasant vanilla aroma in the bag and while burning. Be prepared to air some out before lighting because it is rather moist. I only aired it for 10 minutes and it probably could have used 10 more but I wanted to try it. Delicious. VBC burns slow and cool. It produces lots of smoke and the vanilla shines but does not cover the tobacco flavor. The room note is very pleasant. I will be buying lots of this. (A friend walked into the room and said, "I smell cookies).
