This is Dan Pipe's cheapo blend. Well they call it 'economy'.
It is the cheapest pipe tobacco I have ever come across. It is 3.8 euros (really !) for a 40gram pack. You'd think at that price it would come in a plastic zip bag and be made of the floor scrapings at the blenders factory. Unbelievably it isn't that bad. In fact it's almost palatable and I have to say I have had worse than this. Borkum Riff is. So is Alsbo - our equivalent blends in the UK.
Alright it's not nasty and burns through so quickly you'd have a suspicion there was either cigarette tobacco in here or something else like wood shavings. But then you come back to the price and you ask yourself 'what do you expect?'.
It has a slight scent of cherry or maybe vanilla and looks like a half decent pipe tobacco. Goes dry very quickly. Don't relight this when it goes out. The top dressing just burns away after first light.
This is strictly a small pipe 10-15 minute smoke when you are short on time and as I said, a very cheap tobacco to stick at the back of your cupboard. Thank goodness I only have a 40g pouch and not the 200g can. Experienced pipe smokers only.
Pipe Used: All
Age When Smoked: New

Similar Blends: Bokum Riff, cherry. Alsbo cherry Sam and Gawith's Black cherry..
