The first-time I heard of a chocolate flavored blend, I was skeptical. I tried this blend and all my skepticism floated away like a log on a river. A quality aromatic with a milk chocolate taste. Smells like chocolate in the bag and tastes like chocolate throughout the bowl. This won't be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like aromatics, it is worth a try.

A well blended chocolate aromatic from the folks at the Country Squire. The chocolate flavor gently underscores the toasty Cavendish & the thin ribbons of Virginia add depth and a subtle woodsy note to the taste. At a sip, the milk chocolate aroma really comes through. I also get a hint of booze and a touch of dark fruit on the finish. There's no cloying sweetness to be had and I am quite impressed by how understated the sweet factor is.

I have always thought that the mark of a good aromatic is a balance struck between the taste of the additives and the flavor strength of the tobacco. Tobac Du Chocolat does this well and has a pleasant room note and consistent flavor. The only problem I have with this blend is that it's overly moist and requires a good amount dry time plus a very slow cadence for optimal taste.

Another quality aromatic from Jon David at the Country Squire. If you've never had a chocolate flavored pipe tobacco, this is a great place to start.

Like most of the tobaccos from the Country Squire, moisture level is great and has lots of great flavor. The Cavendish and VA work well together and the VA brings a slight depth to it that those who are looking to get into aromatics would still feel like they are smoking tobacco.

One thing to keep in mind with this tobacco is that while it has virginia leaf, it is aromatic forward. The flavor doesn't mask bad leaf but it is the closest thing to what I can imagine smoking a milk shake is like.

I was given a bag of this blend during a trade and was interested to try one of the CS aromatics which I had not yet.

In the bag its mostly very dark tobacco with a few lighter strands here and there. The bag note is dark chocolate, compared to the cocoa note of say CORN COB PIPE. The tobacco is damp and obviously top coated. I left some out for about an hour before packing.

Takes a couple of tries to really get going. Will burn hot if pushed, this is a sipping tobacco to really draw out the taste. When sipped, it produces large clouds of white smoke which have an incredible roomnote. The taste to me is mostly the chocolate topnote similar in taste to a Hershey's Dark. Not overly sweet but full. The other tobaccos notes are hard to pick out to me in this one. Mild Nic level to me. Didn't leave too much moisture for an aro,

It goes great for a start of the morning smoke with a cup of coffee if you have the time for a slow smoke. With the room note, also good to smoke around the spouse or others who appreciate the smells of "old-time" pipe.

I've been trying different chocolate aros lately, and this is the chocolatiest one yet. It's quite mild and the tobacco takes a back seat to the topping. It's moist out of the bag but can be smoked that way if you pace it well.

As with all of CS blends the quality of the tobacco is top drawer. Some grassy Virginia to help with the cavendish, the milk chocolate topping is not over bearing and I do get a bit of liquor and fruit as well. One of the best Chocolate aromatic blends I have smoked. Excellent after dinner smoke for me.
