The light Virginias offer a lot of tangy, lightly tart lemon and grass/hay, some citrus, and tinge of spice and acidity. The small pinch of nutty, earthy, woody burley peeks out from the background most of the time. There’s a light sugary topping, though perhaps a touch of it may come from the Virginias as well. It complements the tobaccos as it adds a small amount of smoothness to the proceedings. The strength is just shy of the center of mild to medium, while the taste is a hair past that center. The nic-hit is a step past mild. Won’t bite, but has a slight rough edge here and there. Burns cool and clean, and a tad slow as flake products will, though this one easily breaks apart to suit your preference. The flavor is mostly consistent to the finish. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a few more than an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, slightly lingering after taste and room note. An all day, uncomplicated smoke.

This is a brother of Orlik Golden Sliced. Not a twin but very similar. Nice blond virginia Flake. The Aroma is hay and citrus. It is about the half of the lemon aromas of the OGS but it get´s a more natural touch. In the beginning the lemon and hay is predominant and during the rest of the bowl the citrusy aroma fades a little away and the creamy grassiness takes over. The lemon taste swings always in the backround. The touch of burley is not detectable but gives the tobacco some body so that the pipe satisfys the smoker. No tongue bite and very easy to smoke. Well recommended for people who don´t like the dominant lemon flavour of OGS but still love vriginia tobaccos. Get´s 3,5 Stars.

Although I don't find it to be exactly like OGS, this is pretty solid and tasty stuff! It has lemon-grassy, sweet VAs giving a like mellow smoke when puffed slowly. The Burley gives a little spice and gives a contrast to the hay-ish/grassy Virginas and balances the blend very good.

Nothing complex, nothing special - but definetly a solid smoke, that tastes good all day. Just as OGS it's topped with a sweet/sugary essence, that's underscoring the Virginia.

3/4 Stars - OGS Lovers will like this, but it's not exactly like OGS. OGS has a bit more citrusish freshness imho. This ones a bit more tangy.
