Newminster - No. 2 Smooth Rum.
Quite coarse ribbons, parts of the blend could be considered broken flakes rather than just ribbons. The smell from the pouch is fantastic; rummy and sweet, and the hydration's just right.
The rum comes over strongly in the smoke, and to a certain extent counteracts a lot of the tobaccos'. As well as the rum there's also a lot of caramel-like sweetness; I expect many people to find this slightly overpowering and sickly, or, a lot of folks may find it separates this from the majority of rum aromatics out there. The burn from No. 2 is good; it doesn't take much guidance, and despite the heavy casing the smoke doesn't bite me.
The nicotine's medium, and the room-note's quite heavy.
Smooth Rum's clearly a high quality aromatic that easily deserves four stars:
