The cavendish style Virginia is citrusy, mildly grassy, and a tad bready with a drop or two of honey. The light nutty, earthy, woody burley is a supporting player. The amaretto topping tones the tobaccos quite a bit. The nic-hit is extremely light. Won't bite, but fast puffing will warm your tongue a little. It needs a little dry time. If not dried, it burns a little slow and wet with a mostly consistent flavor. It gets a little syrupy in the last quarter of the experience. Leaves some moisture in the bowl, but avoids goop. Requires more than an average number of relights. Has an weak after taste. An all day smoke.
Bought this blend from nice ash and was quite happy with the blend! The amaretto was not overpowering like some OTC blends and the tobacco was fairly dry from the bag. Opening the bag was a pleasant experience because you knew there was amaretto there but it didn't hit you like a "little tree" air freshener. The tobacco smoked well and needed just a few relights that may have been my fault but overall even after a relight I never got that funky burnt taste that many aromatics have after relighting. The price was really good and my order was filled by a generous person who did forget several labels on the bags but I will keep ordering from here because the price is right and overall the service is good.
