To me this is one of the funniest aromatics around and i am glad i stumbled over it.

First off i like those tiny tins all the Kleinlagel and many DTM tobaccos are shipped in. They are neat to stuff in your pocket and are still uncommon enough to instantly catch the eye.

When you open the tin you will be greeted by a LOT aroma, very sweet and like flowers. This tobacco is flavoured with citrus and essence of lily of the valley. I cannot make out alot of the citrus but the Virginia comes through. Also you already can tell that the tobaccos used are *very* high quality as is common for Kleinlagel and DTM.

Packing and lighting both are easy and for a ready rubbed tobacco it has a lot wiggle room for how tight you can pack. From very loosely to almost ribbon cut tight everything seems to work. Burning properties are very good, it may need some little tamping and one or two relights but then it burns down very willingly. All things which are ideal for the beginner.

I was *very* surprised just how well and balanced this blend tastes. First off the Virgnias are there from the very first light to the very end of the bowl and deliver some delectable sweetness and some very faint spiciness. At no point does the flavouring overpower the tobaccos. The opposite is true: it is rare that the flavouring of an aromatic marries *that* nice with the high quality natural tobaccos used. The flavouring as well as the Virginias last almost to the end of the bowl but by then i empty out anyway since i am not a dottle chaser.

So how does it actually taste? Well, the entire experience is really like smoking a flower, sweet, aromatic and tastes like a flower would smell. The citrus flavour takes a back seat but is there and offer some freshness. And again, there always is plenty of tobacco taste also even this blend *is* a heavy aromatic. Also everything is very smooth and at the same time full and very satisfying.

There is no tongue bite but if you smoke it too fast it will taste nasty quickly as is common for aromatics. Also don't let the pipe lay around too long between relights, if it cools out too much then the tobacco does not taste that well anymore.

The room note is heavy to say the least. Don't get me wrong, it smells great and very much, you guessed it, like flowers. But its too much, way too much. This also is the only beef i have with this blend.

So do i recommend this blend? Hell yeah! To me this is a clear four star aromatic. It is rare that i have that much fun smoking and i mean hahaha-funny. Also your pipes start to smell like flowers. The overall experience was nice enough for me to make this a staple in my cellar from now on out. And i can't wait for the spring to come, because i already know the perfect tobacco for that ;o)
