A great, cool - smoking mixture for a crisp fall day. This mild to medium bodied Latakia blend has plenty of exotic, fragrant Orientals to add depth and complexity, with enough Virginias to bring in a hint of sweetness. The cut of the tobacco and the amount of Cyprian Latakia have been blended to keep the blend from getting too hot while smoking outdoors in the cool, autumn breeze. The flavor and aroma are perfectly suited to the chilly temperatures because of its smoky, comforting fragrance.

The tin (jar) note is very nice. Rich, smokey Latakia and zesty/ floral orientals. It has an underlying roasted nuttiness as well.
The charring light shows strong floral and smoke flavors. Once it is fully lit, the Latakia diminishes, giving way to the orientals. It is one of the lightest, if not the lightest english blend I have ever smoked. As the bowl progresses, there are times that I forget the Latakia is even present in the blend. Floral notes become more pronounced towards the bottom of the bowl with light Notes of toasted almond. The Latakia seems to show itself at its own leisure. The bottom of the bowl is reminiscent of Irish cream. Slightly nutty, and the smoke develops a creamy mouth feel. There is no tongue bite, and it burns alright. It Seems to always require a touch up light midway through the bowl.
The room note won't win over any non-smokers. The Virginia's show themselves for the first time alongside potent Orientals. The Latakia is barely noticeable.
Overall, it's alright. There isn't anything that I dislike about this tobacco, but it's nothing to write home about in my opinion. If you are looking for a good, light, straight forward blend with good tobacco flavor, this blend is right up your alley. A Latakia lover looking for a hearty English blend will be left disappointed though.

The tin note is that classic tobacco smell of English blends, similar to 965 and EMP. The flavor is strongly influenced by the latakia and oriental tobaccos. If I had to describe it in a word, I would choose "crisp". This is very nearly a 4.

Yummy blend. I will say this has a bit of spicy kick to it but not in a bad way. Opening note is that lovely smell of Latakia and Virginia blending. This stuff is super dry so light up was a breeze. Right out of the bowl you get sweet and smoky. This burns pretty fast so try a large bowl but burns so darn cool. The taste and flavor are outstanding. Sweet mixed with smoky and a little oriental spicy kick. This blend you could smoke for the entire day. Flavor and taste to the end albeit more spicy as you neR the end of the bowl. The room aroma almost smells like a cigar is being smoked. Very pleasing. I really like this blend and will be ordering more. If you enjoy Latakia and a spicy smoke you should absolutely love this one. Four stars for me!

Nice english with good oriental notes. Latakia is present but not overpowering. Moisture was spot on. Smoked well without any prep. Cut is a nice ribbon. A very pleasant smoke that was easy and user friendly. Smoked to the heel with few relights and no dottle. Bought 2oz. and i am happy with the first bowl. I like it as with most of Russ’s blends.
