Gauntleys-Black Cavendish. Although this is primarily a blending tobacco I think it makes for a perfectly relaxing smoke on its own.
Even though it's badged as a cube cut it's very similar to being a thick ribbon/coarse cut tobacco. Sadly I find it too moist straight from the pouch so I leave a bowls worth aside to air for a little while.
Once lit this gives off a very thick and cool smoke. This remains bite free for the whole bowl. Very relaxing!
Although this makes for a good smoke, if it's not been allowed enough time to air it's virtually impossible to keep lit. You'll have to practically hold your flame above the bowl for the whole duration!
The flavour isn't anything different to most Black Cavendish tobaccos. Not 'aromatic' but simply sweet.
The room note is pleasant enough but as it generates a huge amount of smoke the windows must be opened wide! Or, don't smoke it on its own!
There are one or two low points with this when it's smoked neat but still I find it a decent enough evening smoke.
