Caminetto - Oro Gold.
I've had this cellared for a few months now, I wanted to wait until my supply of opened aromatics started to dwindle before popping this one. I mean, it cost me 33 euros plus post and packaging from Denmark so I was in no hurry to have it gone! As it goes, I can't see it lasting very long, the one word that jumps to mind is Delicious!
The pleasure begins before a bowl's even burning: it smells divine! And then, after drooling over the smell, as it doesn't need drying it can be piped immediately. The caramel comes through exceptionally in the smoke: very creamy and sweet, but whatever the dried fruits are I don't know as they're nowhere to be seen; it seems like a simple caramel aromatic. The tobaccos' have a full taste to them, but surprisingly aren't too sticky; I'd expected an overly sticky Cav' Vanilla taste, but I get quite an omnipotent Burley nuttiness taking the leading role. Due to the heavy topping it can give my tongue a bit of grief if I puff like a train, so I take I easier; that doesn't ruin the enjoyment though, it just encourages me to relax with my technique a bit!
The nicotine's just below medium from Oro, and the room-note's absolutely sublime: creamy, rich, caramel.
This is one of the best aromatics I've loaded with:
