About Me

I lack the pride and discipline to write any decent sort of autobiography. 笑 Suffice to say, I love my tobaccos.

A four-star tobacco blend is anything I would purchase again and pay money to continue smoking. A three-star blend is a decent one I am at least glad I tried, but unless you are giving it to me will probably never smoke again. Two-stars denotes one I could have done without, and one-star “tobacco” should no longer be in production - do not smoke it. Certain other factors can also affect my recommendation. If I am disappointed in what I received, based on how it was described by the manufacturer or blender, I am liable to remove a star. There will be an ample description as to why in my notes. But that grace moves in other ways, and if I delight in the smoke at all I can imagine you might as well. I have no axes to grind, not unless a brand tries to sell me antifreeze labeled as tobacco.

I have to be honest - I do use tobacco as a dietary supplement, and I will only smoke good clean brands. D&R is a true staple on my food pyramid, God bless the USA. This website has been an invaluable resource in my pursuit of quality tobacco, and beyond my desire to express the joy good leaf brings me, I would like to give back some of the experience I have gained.

There are two types of tobacco reviews and three smokes in a pipe. One type of tobacco review judges the manufacturer, the other the vendor. The pipe has a char light and smoke to the heart of the bowl, smoke from the heart to the heel, from the heel into the ashes. Appropriately, I can never bring myself to deny a three smoke blend at least the somewhat recommended 2 stars - for the sake of the tobacco industry.
