| I would hardly call this "perfect for fans of Dunhill My Mixture #965". And I hate to disagree with the esteemed Pipestud but if this is a revved up anything, it's a revved up Tinderbox Sherlocks Choice. :) Then again, we're all different in this crazy pipesmoking world.
This is a rather ordinary but decent light English blend. It's very sweet tasting a la SC I mentioned above and the burley further dilutes the strength while adding good body and some nicotine to the mix. There's really not a thing wrong with this blend and anyone that enjoys lighter fare, and no fancy orientals except latakia, should try it. Latakia actually has a sweet and smoky flavor and the virginias aren't overcooked so they retain their sweetness. It's a fine blend; just not anything to get too excited over. Quite honestly, it's the best Altadis blend I've ever smoked, so perhaps that IS something to crow about.

| Shock and awe!
Our local pipe club gets a blend of the month from the generous folks at Altadis and this was their latest gift. Very remindful of some of the sweeter Latakia blends on the market, but the added Burley boost provides the smoker with a decent shot of nicotine. The Latakia base is certainly noticiable, but not as pronounced as it is in other blends. The added flavoring (I have no idea what it is), is applied expertly and discreetly. This is a revved up version of Rattray's Black Mallory. Very nicely done!

| I was gifted a 1.5 ounce tin of this tobacco this past week. I spent most of the weekend smoking this blend only to get a good review formed. I must admit that I was kind of skeptical of liking this because #1 it is made by Altadis and #2 not being real impressed with the original MM965. But, I have been very pleasantly surprised by this blend. My experience with MM965 was early on in my quest of getting away from the aros that I used to smoke exclusively. So, I chalk that review up to inexperience. Upon opening the tin, it was loosly packed and at the right moisture level for me. This one here seems to have a mild to medium spiceiness in the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the bowl and then the Va and burley seems to calm things down quite nicely. This could very well be an all day smoke for some. The price does seem to be rather reasonable on several online stores. I may have to invest in more of this fine weed.

| I like a good english and this was a nice addition to my list of blends. I find this one to be a smooth and lightly flavored mixture that will allow for all day smoking.
I found it easy to pack and takes to a light easily.
The flavors a subtle and light. its a good choice for a smoker who would like a simple blend.

| I received a sample in the mail, and when I opened the tin, could smell the Latakia in the mix right away. The flavors are typical English with a bit of a sweet after taste. The Latikia taste is not as strong lit as in the tin and the flavors are not overwhelming. No bite, but I did receive a strong nicotine buzz about half way through the pipe, so strong, I got a racing heart and the shakes, much like smoking a strong cigar. If you are into getting a heavy dose of nicotine (which I'm not) but like a mild English mix this one's for you. Will I go out and buy it, no, I'll stick with Boswell Northwoods or Frog Morton, because I smoke a pipe to mellow out and like a little more Latakia in my English blends.
Addendum March 13, 2010:
I though I might be missing something with this blend, as per Pipe Studs review (whom I usually trust and agree with). I have let the can mellow for a few months. My opinion has not changed, there is something in this that just does not agree with me. It might be a preservative or would they add nicotine? Strong stuff like Billy Budd does not bother me. This does.
