| This is a quality tobacco from Mac Baren. Opening the tin I immediately sensed the aroma of dark chocolate. I felt no particular the flavor of honey, just a subtle and slightly sweet aftertaste in smoking.
The dark brown Cavendish tobacco is nicely cut to Loose Cut form. The tobacco is wet enough maintains an adequate level of moisture for a long time after the first opening of the tin.
Lights easily and does not require enough extra lighting. Moderately strong in nicotine. It does not biting the tongue, of course I smoke very slowly and calmly. Smoking this tobacco gives interesting and delicious taste, beautiful aroma in the room and remains an easy smoke for at least the first two-thirds of the bowl. Reaching to the base of the bowl tobacco strengthens enough in intensity and shows a slight bitterness, but acceptable. I found him mot a very sweet aromatic, the taste of dark chocolate dominates and also sometimes the sense of raisins and honey as background offer a satisfying smoke.
At the end of the smoking it lets gray ash in the bottom of the bowl and does not wet the pipe bowl. Also the filter pipe is not getting too dirty.
I smoked this tobacco in straight, half bent and full bent pipes with filter of 9mm.
Honey & Chocolate can accompany very nicely the morning and afternoon coffee, and a brandy also.
A good aromatic tobacco.

| I smoke a lot of different blends and like to try everything from a traditional English blend to a nice aromatic, so when I opened the can of this Hoeny and Chocolate blend I was expecting a pleasant smoke. I was seriously disappointed. The chocolate tin note was the most pleasant part of this tobacco. The taste was flat and somewhat bitter. Unfortunately I can't recomend this for any reason other than to smell the open tin.

| My tastes in pipe weed cover a large spectrum, neither being a snob on English blends, nor clinging for dear life to aromatics. I run the gamut from the strongest traditional styles to dessert-level pipe candy. That having been said, I wish there was a bit more chocolate taste to this blend. Tried mixing in a little cherry with some tonight (I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I bought the cherry baccy...I really don't care for any cherry blends...thankfully, I only bought 2 oz of that). The blend came out a bit too heavy on the cherry. Going to try to experiment with that and perhaps a mango blend to see if I can concoct something a bit more interesting.

| I concur with many of the other reviews that this blend took some getting used to. As with many heavily cased aromatics, I needed to let the blend "breath" a bit after opening the tin. Initially, I thought the blend wasn't very good but I have been smoking it intermittantly for six months and it has indeed become very enjoyable. It is defintely a heavier smoke than vanilla blends. Nice cavendish taste with a whiff of chocolate. I would buy again but smoke intermittantly. No problem with tongue bite.

| When I first purchased this tin, the smell was overwhelming to me. I thought that i had made a mistake. I was wrong. I find that this tobacco is best smoked in a church warden pipe. The room note is very remeniscent of sitting in a kitchen chair in my youth waiting impatiently for my mother finish cookies. All in all I would recommend this tobacco.

| Please stay away from this tobacco! If you do, then I will go completely mad from smoking all of it! Yes, I admit to being a user of this brownie and honey sweet tobacco and from the severe addiction to it. Brownies! Cocoa taste not chocolately, and a sweet honey flavor lurking in the back. Naugthy boy. It drives She Who Must Be Obeyed into a tizzy! Coffee is the best accompanist to this little piece of heaven in a bowl. That and just a bit off the end of the chocolate bar.....not too much...

| This has a wonderful and distinct aroma of chocolate in the tin. Unfortunately, it does not transfer to the room note or flavor. The taste and smell of chocolate and honey in the smoke is so razor thin it is barely detectable. So I don't understand how anyone can possibly rate this as having medium flavoring. This is a pleasant enough smoke for people who don't like aromatics, but nothing particularly noteworthy. Not bad by any means. As an aromatic, I give it one star. As a non-aromatic, two.

| this is another home run from macbaren. the name can be articulated with many characters this tobacco shows. it is sweet and have that dark chocolate taste and scent to it. considerable nic delivery in this one so you might wanna consider that. the tobacco hold the fire perfectly and burns clean plus the room note is superb. do i recommend it, indeed i do. (just keep in mind that it could be harsh if mistreated).

| I only bought this because my local shop was very low on tins and this was the only thing in I hadn't tried yet. I was very surprised. Definitely a dark chocolate taste as it is not sweet, but I enjoyed it. Gave me a good dose of Vitamin N, not over powering but a good idea to smoke it slow to avoid the hiccups. While not my favorite I would buy again.

| I acquired a tin of this blend in a trade. Swapped out Plumcake for it. I have to say I love this blend. It smells just like a nice freshly baked brownie in the itn and that carries over into the taste pretty successfully. It takes the lighting very well and burns nice and evenly with few relights. Overall a great anytime aromatic from Mac Baren.

| The local shop guy turned me on to this. it seemed from the smell a bit stronger in aromatic than I would like, but I was intrigued by the darkness and his recommendation since he is a heavy English smoker himself. I am not a chocolate lover either but I gave it a spin.
It indeed is closest to a fudge brownie in taste, very smooth and creamy, pleasant smell all around, very easy to sit back and smoke it slow and long. I was surprised I liked it so much. It was a tad wet and seemed to work best left out for a spell in the bowl before lighting. I must admit I could smoke this one a lot.

| The age of miracles is not over! It's taken me over thirty years but I've finally found a MacBaren blend I really like. Honey and Chocolate is IMO a superb smoke. It taste like honey and chocolate. This is one of the few aro's I have run across that taste like it's name. Upon lighting you get the unmistakeable flavor of a semi-sweet chocolate along with a fair amount of tobacco taste as well. I really like Bob's Chocolate flake but I must say I think I like this more. If you enjoy the more complex mixtures you might not care for this as it has only three distinct flavors. It is what it is but I truly love it. I'm gonna stock up on this!
UPDATE 02/04/2012: The more I smoke this the more I like it. I'm putting H&C in my all time top five aromatic list. It's that good!

| Great tin aroma. Tons of billowing smoke--great for blowing smoke rings! No tongue bite. Burns quickly down to the bottom of the bowl. Not memorable taste, though--I am anxious to finish my first tin, to be done with it.

| I'm sorry, normally I don't post negative reviews but with this offering I feel I must. If you can imagine filling a bowl with charcoal and then lighting it thats what I felt each time I tried to smoke this, hot hot air and very little else. Not a blend to be sitting in my collection for long, very disappointing and not recommended I'm afraid.
N.B. I tried this again. I broke all the rules in the book and emptied the bowl while it was still lit, such was my disgust. diabolical, in the bin with that tin.

| WOW! MacBaren aka "MacBlowtorch" has finally scored a Touchdown with this blend. If you are an Aromaphile or not, you cannot go wrong with this blend....Very "old-timey" in my humble opinion. Also, if you are fan of Nicotine, this one does not lack a little kick. My Grandfather smoked the "old-time" Aromatics, and many of them had quite a bit of "Vitamin N"....If you want to try something truly wonderful, give this Macbaren Aromatic a try!

| I have tried other "chocolate" blends before and all of them fell rather flat in taste. This was the exception. It smells and tastes great, providing a soft honey and cocoa smell and flavor. Exceptional with a good cup of cofee. However, it did dry out my mouth and throat so I'd hesitate to smoke this without something to wet the palette. The flavor fluctuates from a soft cocoa to a dark chocolate taste. The flavor doesn't change much (or lessen) all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Love this one.

| I am not an expert by a long shot but my tastes have setteled more toward non aromatics mostly vapers, so I was quite suprized to find that a honey and chocolate blend did not end up in the back of the pile with the rest of the aromatics I did'nt like, waiting for the day my tastes might change. This one to me tastes like good tobacco with a little coco added. I like that the chocolate is bitter and I don't notice the honey, smells like something to eat in the tin but is easy to lite and burns well with no goop in my pipe, who knows I might go back and give some of the others another try.

| One of the earlier reviewers was spot on in his description of the taste and room note - it's like a fudge brownie. This is a wonderful blend and I recommend it to smokers who like aros.
