| I will try my best to be kind...
This smells wonderful. I was drawn by the fruty burleyish smell and was sold.
Smoked a little hot (figured out why MB's nickname is Mac Bite) and gurgled some too. This wasn't even the biggest turn off, though it didn't help.
But the worst thing was this stuff left my mouth feeling completely DRY. I had never ever experienced it before, and hopefully never will, but gave it another bowl.
Result: same thing. Dry as a desert.
Just stay away, there is better tobacco, plain and simple.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, this thing has chemicals out the wazoo... yet another reason to steer clear from Cube.

| Thoroughly nasty, from false light to the point at which I emptied my bowl into the garbage. This is not why I took up the noble briar. Flavour-wise it is almost a joke. No detectable tobacco taste in it for me, and I felt almost instantly nauseous.
A stark contrast to many of the other Mac Baren aromatics, which I rather like.
Never again.

| I dont know where people are getting the fruity flavours from as all i can smell and taste is something that resembles "worthers original" a buttery caramely toffee taste, very distintive and stays there all the way through the smoke, love it, also the room note (im told) is also very pleasent. This has never bit me and burns smooth and cool. Not an all day smoke but one best suited to an evening after dinner desert enjoyed with a cup of creamy coffee, mmmm. It doesnt do much for the nicotine side but for someone who smokes simply for the taste, its a winner, if you like "worthers originals" of course but who doesnt? I give it 3 out of 4 simply because it doesnt have enough nicotine for me.

| Or like Mac Barenove tobacco smoke, but this tobacco in my humble opinion, a pure disaster and failure! Trying to mix different types of Cavendish and other tobacco (I think I felt dark Virginia), simply failed. Too aromatic, boring, and what you have Mac Buren would not dare allow - burning tongue! Even me, I pipe smoker for over 30 years. Price for 100 grams is definitely too high. One word - disaster!

| Another decent pipe tobacco from the Dane house of MB. The leaf is good quality and th casing is a very welldone mixture of toffee / caramel. No tongue bite here. Flavour is delicate and room note is good. A pleasant smoke for sure. Not goopy like other aromtic blends out there. Far better than the Honey and Chocolate blend that MB has also released. I would recommend this one to those fellow pipesmokers who enjoy a sweeter taste and smell now and then. In time, my fave MB blend is HH Syrian Latakia, this one is a true masterpiece.

| I have had a full pound of this stuff in my cellar (closet) for over a year opened, hoping it would get better. It has not. The other day I left the closet door open by mistake and the cats got into it, spreading it all over the place. I guess they thought it was catnip. I sure hope they enjoyed it because I certainly never did.

| My review is based on a 40grms pouch of what is the Cube Silver (just to distinguish it from the new Cube Gold).
CS is produced with high quality leaves, that's for sure. The fact is that talking of Virginia or Burley or whatever else is simply a non-sense, what matters here is the flavouring. It's a heavy flavouring: I taste exotic fruits, vanilla, spices, a very complex stuff. A comparison comes to my mind from the very past (they tell that the sense of smell is very much more potent than the others): Sunday Fantasy by Thomas Radford.
Yes, sometimes You taste some tobacco, too.
The smoke is mild, cool and non-biting. It taints the pipe.
Smoking Cube is a different philosophy, just like tasting a fruit juice. It's very refreshing and relaxating. Cube leaves a pleasant sweet after-taste, something not common in the aros.
All in all a pleasant experience, to repeat once in while. I don't think I will buy it again.

| Even if it begins smoking with a somewhat tobacco taste, it is very sweet. And for my taste it is not a real tobacco. It is a high quality product but too much aromatic for me. However for aromatic lovers can be a great choise.

| The mechanics and results of smoking this blend were all ok...I expected more. Perhaps, it is only that I am wondering how much of my $$$s went to the packaging rather than the tobacco. Always looking for one best aromatic and this is not it.

| The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is that I am not an aro smoker so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Tobacco taste is why I smoke a pipe, and this stuff just doesn't have it. It's all casing and not very good at that. I'm giving it two stars because I think aromatic smokers will like it.

| I usually don't like aromatics, but this is one of the best I have ever smoked, for several reasons:
1) the quality of the leaf is excellent
2) it smokes very regularly, not too fast nor too slow
3) it doesn't produce too much moisture
4) it tastes fresh, sweet and slightly fruity/sour
5) it never gets bitter, unlike other aromatics
6) the flavoring actually complements nicely the tobacco taste (yes, it DOES taste of tobacco, not of flavored cardboard), although it certainly is mild
7) the taste is delicate even if the tobacco feels rather sticky and over-cased at the touch
8) it does not bite at all, on the contrary it's very soft and never aggressive
Sure, it will leave a permanent mark on your pipe because it is VERY flavored. And the room aroma is very intense and sweet, which means that it's a matter of taste (my wife for example doesn't like the smell of very sweet aromatics).
Personally I feel that it's a tobacco that will be appreciated more by experienced smokers who can puff at a relaxed pace and enjoy both the nice fruity/chocolatey flavoring AND the underlying delicate tobacco background. But I would suggest it also to novices because, even if it costs more than the cheaper aromatics, it is actually in a league of its own.
Oh, and a recommendation: pack it loosely, because if pressed too much it tends to clog the bowl!

| I bought a few ounces of this stuff and really wanted to like it. But the strong fruit basket aroma just wouldn't let me get to the finer qualities of the tobacco. I also had a very difficult time getting the CUBE to burn. I tried several degrees of dryness (it looses all flavor when totally dry) and several pipes (a mistake since the flavor lingered for about ten bowls). When it did burn for more than a minute, it did wierd things to flesh in my mouth! Never again my friend.

| To lovers of Aromatics this one hits a homerun. The flavor is much like tropical fruit. The smell is also much like Pomegranat or Mango with some Kiwi and Oranges. The room note smells like what is in the can. I can understand giving this a lower review given that I am not big into aromatics. However I like the room note and the aroma to much to kick it out of the house. No, this one sticks around incase I want an aromatic, or incase a guest comes by. I wonder though is the casing safe to smoke? As fruity as it is its like smoking a bowl of skittles. My Personal Notes are a 9.4 for an aromatic it is wonderful. If not in the mood for an aromatic this is down right nasty.

| Reading the reviews i was almost put off trying the 1oz in my sample pack. I just love this tabacco. Cube is easy to smoke, i don't get any bite and the tase is just what i was looking for.
My son tells me it reminds him of a new car smell, (not sure about that one).
Have just ordered more in the big posh tin.

| Being a Latakia lover means this is not my first choice in tobaccos. I do like a change of pace so I decided to get a cube and have a whirl at it. My first impression was the tin aroma being very strong. The smell of fruit was akin to a strawberry wine. I can say that I was not expecting anything good to come after that whiff. I decided to press onward, and give it a try. What I was next surprised by was the fact that for being as heavy an aromatic as it is it was not very wet. That was a definite plus. It also packed well and required two matches to smoke the entire bowl (another plus). The taste of fruit was overwhelming and quite honestly too much for my taste. There was no goo on the heal of my pipe either. Considering the burning characteristics and room note I would recommend trying this blend, but not enthusiastically.

| Cube is a wonderful aromatic tobacco for pipe smokers who knows how to enjoy Heavy Aromatics, Cube tobacco quality is excellent, tastes delicious, room note is simply magic.
Cube is naturally flavored, means there are no chemical agents or sweeteners usually found in most cheap drugstore brands, it ages very well if left opened for a year or more, it taste natural tobacco (Va/Br) with exotic fruits.
As a smoker of any good quality tobacco(aromatic or not), I love this tobacco and I have a churchwarden dedicated for it, I buy it in bulk, I enjoy it especially when I am with the girlfriend.

| Mac Baren's CUBE is arguably the best aromatic from this manufacturer. I smoke aromatics and non-aromatics, so I tend to smoke CUBE on a rotation, usually after diner with a nice espresso and a single malt whiskey. It burns nicely and tastes consistently. Room aroma is outstanding. The best thing about it is that it is not a heavy sugary sickly aromatic like many others, it rather draws aroma naturally, a little sweetness together with sour, just a little. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended.

| This is a very interesting blend. It seems to change with the dryness of the product. It is full of various berry tastes, yet has a coconut after taste at times. It is however hard to keep lit due to the casings. But the burn is even and taste seems consistent throughout the bowl. Room note seems to be of berries and nutty essence. It is a very sweet blend and good as a change of pace during the day. Burns for a long time so a full bowl can last for some time. I recommend this for the sweet tooth times. Packaging is very unique but does not lend itself to transport. I like the box very much and it looks good on the nightstand.

| this is my number one fruity tobacco and it is a great piece of attraction. sweet and some times very sweet taste to it with an easy to pack cut and great burning quality. the room note is wonderful. although i adore this tobacco but even for me i cannot consider it as an all day smoke due to the sweetness it holds, however for aromatic/fruity tobacco i must recommend it.
