This was the first Tobacco I tried and it is wonderful for a beginning smoker. It is actually still my favorite.

If you are an aromatic smoker then you will enjoy this blend. It's essentially Lanes 1Q as mentioned and for me, is the base blend that I use with several more "flavored" Cavendish varieties. It's one that always finds it's way into the rotation but only when blended with other favorites.

Losantiville is indeed Lane's 1Q, according to the manager of the Lexington store.

One almost hates to admit to liking this tobacco, but I do. It's not the world's most sophisticated smoke, but for a quiet, pleasant aromatic that smells tremendously good, you can't beat it. And I do like the "Losantiville" name for it. Straus picks good names for their blends.

Losantiville is the blend recommended with your first pipe. Canendish. Like your "first" of anything, you wonder what else is out there? Mercantile, if your sticking to Straus bluk blends or Middle Earth Blend (now called King Arthur)if looking to spend more. It just doesn't seem to have enough character to get excited about.

Fantastic aroma.

Smooth but the taste could not match the smell. After some trial runs, I gave the rest away. It did not have enough to it to keep my interest.

A very good beginner smoke.

***This has to be Lane's 1-Q (Wilshire)? If not ....... very very close.
