This blend is great for first time pipers or someone looking for something extremely light as this has to be the mildest tobacco I have ever smoked. The can really smells like light rum and vanilla, flavor is not nearly as potent as the can aroma & room note. Personally i like my tobacco to have more nicotine & flavor, but this blend is still good enough to enjoy when you want something a little different.

House of Windsor is a drug store brand that suffers from delusions of grandeur. They attempt to produce quality tobacco for the nowledgeable smoker. this one I feel is just more of the same. opening the tin, you find un-naturally uniform ribbons of cavandish. the first smell is pretty good. light spiced rum, with a bit of fake vanilla for good measure. It packs sort of clumpy, but lights up easy, and smokes dry, cool and even to the bottom. The room note is on par with smelly candles. This would make a great tobacco for first time pipers. my complaint is pretty much the same for every drug store blend...no nicotine!!!. I also find this rather one-dimensional. these day, if I smoke an aromatic, I want something with a pulse.

Upon opening the tin, the smell is quite wonderful. The consistency is similar to the McClelland aromatics. In fact if I had to guess, I would say House of Windsor subcontracts these pure aromatics to McClelland for manufacture. Too wet, too little substance, burns too fast, adequate flavor. In other words like most drugstore-type aromatics. If you like the BCA type of tobacco or cherry-blend types, you might like this one. I like the other type of aromatic like Briggs or Bourbon St., i.e., the dryer type that is of a coarser cut and burns for ten minutes or so. This type of aromatic is best used unlit for a room freshener.
