| Mostly burleys of different cuts, sprinkled Virginia, perique very little orientals, the burley seems to be dominant factor on this blend with the virginia weaving in and out, the orientals round it out so it won't be monochromatic the perique makes its presence known by the last third of the pipe, easy to smoke, if you are looking for a complex smoke look somewhere else, what this is no nonsense pipe tobacco for experience pipe smokers, the nicotine level on this one is not low at all if your not careful it'll put you in your bud. Would I buy it again YES!
Side note I bought this blend in September of 09 at Rich's, I do not know if the recipe have change now that mr Books is an independent retailer.

| This blend is simple and natural. Yet has plenty of flavor to keep my coming back for more! The Turkish and Perique pop up here and there throughout the bowl which keeps the flavor from becoming monotonous, but they don't "upstage" that wonderful Virgina. The bottom half of the bowl is sweet, smokey, and almost buttery ...if smoked slowly. The nicotine level will leave you mellow, but not stoned. This blend packs and lights with ease. Tongue bite is not an issue.

| This is an American version of "Kingfisher". A perfect summer smoke for the Non aromatic/English crowd. It has a fish food cut. A perfect balance of Burley, Virginia, and Turkish. Then the real kicker comes- a healthy dose of Perique. It is an unusual Perique, packed with flavor but not a lot of nicotene. It really has a very pleasant, bland, and neutral type of old fashioned tobacco taste. It burns at a normal rate and to a fine and powdery ash.The taste truly is reminiscent of Kingfisher.A great Summer smoke! 3 of 4 stars!
