My local tobacconist at cigar emporium suggested this to me when I was looking for a nice English mixture to enjoy. It is a bulk blend he carries regularly and has a very smokey and pungient aroma in the jar. I was sold and decided to purchase it along with a couple of cigars. He was kind enough to give me a pouch of the Tobacco Galeria Fox and Hound; which is alright but this one is better.

This tobacco packs well, lights well and is gentle as a lamb while you're smoking it. It won't bite a bit and is very mild for such a powerful pouch aroma. The cavendish really stands out with this blend providing a very nice blend that is sweet and smooth for aromatic fans but full and smokey for English fans. The roomnote for me is just fine but it can get to non-smokers who only like the aroma of aromatics. For English fans who are looking for an all out bodyslam with the strength or a punch in the nose with the nicotine this one isn't for you. But for those of us with variety and looking for a smooth change of pace, this fits the bill just fine.

I highly recommend this blend to experienced smokers who are looking for a classic tobacco to go with from time to time and aromatic fans who wish to try out a full bodied English. New smokers may be a little apprehensive about this blend though.

UPDATE: 11/05/2010

Just had a revisit with this tobacco tonight in a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman. This is a wonderful blend! It has a mild-medium flavor to it but a wonderful room note. This blend reminds me of the blends people would smoke when I was a little boy. This blend brings back many memories of my father visiting his professor who smoked a blend simular to this in a Porsche full bent natural pipe. The blend has a sweet and creamy aroma with sweet spices and a sweet, smokey characteristic. You won't go wrong with this blend. 10-Stars!!

Very nice perique / oriental twang to it. Has a little dry-to-the-nose experience. Room note like toasted ... toast. Positive experience. A- to A.

Fox & Hound is a pretty good middle of the road English. It has a nice balance and flavor. Mild Latakia with slightly sweet undertones.

I think this would actually be a good intro into English blends.

Another one of Guy W's baccy's.This one is the lower strength version of Guy's #25.It makes a very nice all day english without a huge amount of latakia. Still I'm not sure you'd smoke it with your morning coffee either.Let's call it an early afternoon through mid evening smoke.THEN you can switch over to #25,buckle yourself into your easy chair and rejoice in the sweet latakia ride of your lifetime!.. Recommeded prep
