Not quite as earthy as JMBs Northwoods or Countryside but somewhere between those two blends is D-965.

I'm not sure why there is a reference to Brigham on the review below; this is a house blend, done fairly well by the fine folks at City Cigar.

In bulk, it (again) doesn't have the same smokey punch that Northwoods would have but the mild flavour seems the younger brother to other Englishs (that I've tried).

I can detect the latakia for sure. There is no bite whatsoever and this blend packed and lit easily and with a few extra coaxes with the tamper, required no relight. Produces a even smoke that the War Department found pleasant but its not the neighbours fave.

Somewhat less rounded and/or full than the few other Englishes I've tried and mild enough to be an all day smoke.

*** ORIGINAL REVIEW ENTERED IN ERROR This appears to be Brigham D-965 bulk repackaged. *** Anyone who has manufacturer's info on this blend please add to Brigham - I couldn't find an official description on the web.

Original Review:

A fine medium strength English / "Turkish" blend, with no Cavendish or flavouring. The Latakia is present but not overwhelming, and the Yenidje or other "exotic" varietals come through as a very clear top note. A smooth smoke with little bite. Not quite as much Turkish aroma as Balkan Sasieni or MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian, but less harsh than either of those. Mild enough to smoke all day, but with enough character to be satisfying.
