| the most "boring" tobacco I've ever smoked. the guy at the tobacco shop swore by it, now whenever I see the tin I swear to it.
seriously it's "boring" in every aspect. If you insist trying a tin out, then I advice doing it with a friend or two. that way you'll be able to share a tin and lose less money...or maybe you'll like it and buy more, who knows, I know I didn't.

| If you are looking for an aromatic that will absolutely have no bite and is slow burning this is it. The problem is it comes at a price, almost no flavor. I checked several times to make sure I had this stuff lit it is so mild. Cool is the perfect name for this blend. It does have a subtle slightly sweet flavor of the base VA in it and if you really concentrate on it a touch of vanilla. In the tin very classy tin, one of the rectangle ones, it has a slightly sweet very pleasant aroma. it is a thin ribbon cut of black cavendish and orange tinted brown and it is a bit moist. But not to worry, it loads just fine and burns quite well too. It burned down to the bottom of my pipe, never picking up strength and no moisture to a fine gray ash and just a touch of dottle. This would be one I would smoke if I had a touch of tongue bite or rawness as no matter how I tried I could not make it bite at all. I had it roaring in my pipe to which I got scared I would crack my bowl, but no bite at all.

| this is the best tobacco to break in a new pipe, burns cool and builds cake very fast. it didn't leave any taste in my pipe too. but i won't use it after my pipe is broken in, it has almost no taste.

| I bought the entire Davidoff line after experiencing the top quality and consistency of their cigars for many years. It is a shame that they don't make Cuban cigars any more as even with the top quality control, the Davidoff line of cigars is a full step below the top Cuban brands.
But turning to this very light Danish blend, and after reading the really bad reviews, I was surprised by its agreeable taste. I agree that it has no strength at all, and if you don't puff heavy smoke loads, it seams that there is hardly anything there, but I still find it a good first of the day smoke.
I smoke this in the car and don't have the heavy pipe breath or dryness I usually end up with after smoking without a liquid chaser.
It has its place in my repertoire, although I don't reach out for this to often as it is definitely to light for my taste.

| My notes about this tobacco dates 2002. Well, on those days I didn't like it. And I am sure I won't like it nowadays either. As Pipestud says here, I checked several times if the tobacco was lit while smoking. Very cool indeed!

| well you couldn't burn yourself with this if you tried. the usual vibrant, vanilla aromatic smell putting your nose in the tin. flavour when smoking: none, taste the tobacco: nope, not a sausage. I'm sure the wife not is good. i'd recommend this for smoking scenes in films as it's not far off fresh air but you get the wafty smoke effects. I do really like the art deco tin though.

| This was a very nice smoke that I have enjoyed many times over. The quality of the tobacco combined with the pleasant taste made it what it was for me. It remains VERY cool the whole way through, but it is possible to get bitten if you try really hard. The flavour was consistent throughout the lifetime of the tin (~1 month), however towards the end, the taste seemed to change (not by much), probably for the better IMO.
Seems to smoke better from a large bowl, it creates a nice amount of smoke with a pleasant smell that attracted compliments when smoked with company. Very low maintenance, one or 2 tamps and your sailing comfortably to the bottom of the bowl. Works well outside as well.
I will buy this again sometime in the future, but not just yet, too many other tobaccos to try out!
Recommended to new smokers or those looking for any easy, low maintenance smoke that is easy to enjoy.

| A typical Danish blend but like the tin says "COOL" this is the optimum word. This blend dose not get hot no matter how much you puff. Aromatic smokers generally tend to puff a lot more then other blend somkers. As to get a wiff of the aroma which is near impossible to get otherwise. The aroma out of the tin is great the room note is more like a simpler tobacco. Not bad at all a little weak at times but a crowd pleaser when walking down the streets. Ladies do like it but this is a better outdoor then indoor aromatic. Packs real easy and stays lit. last long in the tin.

| New Name: Blue Mixture, Again Davidoff presents with this blend a unique smoking experience: a hi aromatic with NO BITE at all, this is for those who are looking for an all day aromatic smoke without ANY tongue bite, whatever the way you smoke it it WILL NOT burn your tongue. it taste like candy with fruity backgroung, very soft smoke, I could not detect any tobacco taste (is this tobacco?), room note very pleasant. one of the best aromatic.
Note:
* I cant even finish the tin, I will never buy this anymore
** I will finish this tin, maybe I will buy it again one day
*** I love this blend, I will buy it frequently
**** My top favorit tobacco, for my regular smoke and cellaring

| For six months I've been searching for a favourite, and now I've found one. I am a aromatic lover, even though I appreciate some latakia from time to time. The main problem for me is that I am very sensitive for tongue bite, but I want enough taste. That's why I was very happy when the nice lady at Brobergs in Stockholm suggested this blend for me. Lots of taste and nicotine but no tounge bite. Sweet but not too sweet with a very pleasent aroma from the tin.
EDIT 12/22 2007. This is very strange. I ordered a number of tins of this, my favourite, from an american dealer, and it was totally different from the ones I use to buy here i Sweden. The tin is the same and so is the aroma. But when you lite it nothings happen, just smoke. So I can understand why Pipestud didn't find it interesting. I don't know, but maybe it is because the tins from US was much drier (no wonder, flying over the Atlantic several times). I will keep my four stars due to my expirences from my lokal tins.

| Not very different from Mild Mixture, the added burley and less casing provide a cooler smoke with no tongue bite, no matter how hard you puff. It is less vanillic, more fruity and milder than MM. Not bad, but hardly worth a recommendation.

| Tin aroma when opened is the only thing you remember. Smoking this tobacco is like smoking a cigarette. At the same price you can find a lot of better tobaccos

| The kindness of peripatetic non-smoking friends gets me to taste all kinds of aromatics.Fox`s Aromatic has the most intense smell of black cherries I have ever come across - it settled into the hair, and upon washing into the towel! This Davidoff offering is a much milder beast, with the expected Davidoff virtues of good ingredients carefully handled. It is fairly cool smoking, as adverised. But eventually it disappoints. It has less character than its stable-mate Scottish Mixture, and just doesn`t hold interest for any length of time.

| As far as aromatics go, this one is not bad (From an English smoker - this is as high a rating as I've ever given an aromatic).
The smell in the tin is delicious, the smoke rich and flavorful, but can bite if youre not careful. I find that sometimes this tobacco tastes terrible down low in the bowl, and other times its fine... it is a quality aromatic though. My friends who arent pipesters love its smell as does my lady.
The only real criticism I have is that the tin seals poorly when closed - switch to round ones Davidoff!
Other than that, when I smoke Aromatics (Which isnt that often being a VA/Per lover) this is a nice smoke.
About a 5 out of 10

| Not bad for an aromatic. I second the earlier reviews. This mixture does live up to its name - perfect for avoiding tongue bite. It has a slight menthol flavour that I wasn't crazy about - too much like smoking cigarettes.

| I must admit, I like Davidoff. I like their cigarettes, I like their cigars, so logically, davidoff was one of my first ?to try? brands, when I started with ?serious? tobaccos. Cool mixture is cool indeed. Which is nice. Smoking some of this during the day, leaves the tongue fresh enough to smoke some more sophisticated tobacco?s in the evening. Because this is not very sophisticated nor subtle. Is reminds me of Mac Barens black ambrosia, but without the sweetness. Not a very special tobacco, but it has no real flaws, so for me it is a nice ?day-time? tobacco. Some make remarks on the price of davidoff tobacco?s. I must have paid a tin of this around ?10 at my tobacconist?s. And it gives me troughout a year plenty bowls of enjoyment, making this way cheeper than cigarettes (in my country anyway), or cigars(a decent cuban must start around ?10).

| This was my favorite among the three Davidoff blends I purchased--which isn't saying much. The Cool blend had less casing than the other two, and I even detected a tobacco taste occasionally during the course of the bowl. On the plus side, it is true to its name... was it ever cool. In fact, at times I thought I was pulling on a straw rather than a pipe. I kept checking the bowl to make sure the stuff was lit.
If you are a fancier of aromatic tobaccos, this one may fix you right up!
