What can I say? A very nice variation on the black bogie/twist theme. I am guessing that this is the unsliced version of the sliced black aromatic reviewed further down the page.

Possibly because it is unsliced, this one seems to retain its added flavour very well. Often with cased blends the flavours seem to burn off pretty early on, but with this one they can still be detected two thirds of the way down the bowl, adding sweetness and rounding out the flavour. I guess this applied essence is similar to that used on Kendal Flake. It obviously has a fair way to go in order to compete with the powerful tobacco flavours, but it seems to manage. All in all, it's very excellent.

The usual warnings about nicotine strength apply, but if you like black twists and lakeland flavours then get thyself to thy local tobacco emporium and insist that they acquire for you a length of black bogie aromatic - you'll enjoy it!

An easy four stars from me.
