| A quality ribbon cut tobacco. On its own this Virginia has an ever so delicate lemonny taste. The room note is strictly tobacco and very similar to Canadian cigarette smoke. Its what I call a "sipping" smoke. Not at all harsh unless pushed hard. It came to me more on the dry side in the pouch and the aroma is pure mild virginia tobacco...like sniffing an unlit cigarette. The Canadian cigarette smoker would really enjoy this and it has none of the added junk that makes cigarettes so deadly.
This is superb as a mixer. I add this to Blatter's Reserve and Arome de la Nuit to round out their respective profiles. I like the lemmony aftertaste this straight tobacco provides but it is no where as bold as Samuel Gawith's Golden Glow.
If you're a smoker of Canadian Virginia cigarettes looking to convert to the pipe, this will make you feel right at home, but its real beauty is how it can add some flavor and body to another blend.
A good-to-have-on-hand mixer and equally a nice summer "sipping" smoke. Lights very easily and likewise, stays lit, and burns all the way down to fine ash.
