| Got some Virginia Flake #3 from Dick as a samp[le in the mail.As flakes go it is on the sweetish side somewhat like the Kendal flakes with that sort of taste.
It burns well and has a pleasant taste and packs fairly easy after a bit of vigorous rubbing out and a little drying.Dick implies in the description that there is no flavoring in an "all natural tobacco" but I suspect that there is some sort of sweetner anyway. I could be wrong about this as my palate is not as sophisticated as some of the other contributors on this site being rather a gourmand more than a gourmet---- but there you go.
The strength is more on the robust side- again similar (but not the same) as a couple of the Kendal tobaccos and even some of the Corneil and Dihel ones. This is not to say that it is harsh or anything like that but it is a heavier blend.
Good changeover smoke and even a nice puffer for that gray area between flakes and aromatics.
Room note? I don't know about this one factor ---my wife was outside at the time and the air had cleared when she came back in.
Try some .
