At last, a blend dedicated to Tolkien that he himself would have enjoyed smoking! This is a blend that the creator of Longbottom Leaf and Old Toby would have delighted to wreath around his head as he puffed away on his pipe and drank a pint of good bitter at the Bird and Baby.

So why is this blend so good? It is a medium English blend that should be sampled by those just beginning to smoke English blends, and English blend enthusiasts on account of its almost perfect balance. It has a woodsy, almost cedarwood type taste when you first light up and this remains present throughout the whole bowl. But then the Virginia and Burley tobaccos come in and the woodsy flavor has added to it a nutty, earthy type of flavor that leaves a somewhat sweet (not sweet like an aromatic) taste in your mouth. As I was smoking it, the lady at Tobacco Lane commented on the enjoyable campfire type of aroma, as did another customer who came in. It was good from start to finish. No bite, a moderate nicotine hit (not a wallop that will leave your head spinning), and no moisture at the bottom of your bowl when you are through smoking should let you know all you need to know about this blend. Tolkien would be proud to have his name associated with this blend!
