| If you like McClelland Latakia heavy mixtures go for it. Strong and Bland. Not my cup of tea at all.

| If you like Perique and Latakia blends, try this one. According to the guys at Jack's, this is a consistent best seller - and with good reason. This blend packs well in the bowl, lights fairly easily, burns cool, and does not bite. The perique does come to the front at the beginning of the bowl. By mid-bowl, the latakia and the perique are mixing well, resulting in a nice, relaxing smoke. For me (an occasional smoker) this one is a bit strong for an all-day blend. But for those easy weekend afternoons or for those contemplative walks outside, this is a favorite companion.

| Joe Harb (a tobacco blender who is now a reviewer for Pipes and Tobaccos Magazine) recently sent me about a dozen of his creations to smoke and review. I think Teton Mountain Dog was about as strong (taste wise) as any of them.
The smoky flavor of the Latakia comes through in waves and the Perique is near the forefront as well. I would not describe this blend as creamy, but soft, salty and a bit leathery is the impression I received. You'll know you are smoking an English Blend when you light up this dog.
