| As I wrote in others reviews I’m not too fond for blending, but I dislike by far a mess of opened tins and pouches, so I bought this one on a attempt to give the coupe de grace to some (unpleasant) tobacco remainders (i.e. a 1/4 pouch of awful Clan, an anonymous Black Cavendish left apart in a jar and a some others...). Well, smoked alone it’s a plain, ordinary, unimpressive Virginia with a certain amount of sweetness and not much else, just a honest to goodness. When mixed it makes its job (as it’s intended to be) at least for uncomplicated blends. Two stars.

| can't say i like this one. it is very, very sweet, with a pronounced vanilla cookie flavour - and nothing much else. sold as a blending tobacco, its flavouring agent (and i can't imagine any tobacco tasting like this if not flavourized) dominates any blend but perhaps the most latakia heavy balkan. not recommended, except for the lover of aromatics.

| This is my third blending tobacco by TD, after Burley and Kentucky USA.
We are talking of a medium-fine ribbon cut light yellow Virginia, and even more than the previous couple this is really not intended to be smoked alone (I would roll it into fags instead...).
The tin smell is hay-ish and malty, and comes dry from the tin. Very easy load, mokes easy fresh and not biting (quite surprising!) with the tipical notes of a light Virginia, replicating the tin smell. The strength is just satisfactory. The body a bit empty.
It makes me convinced once again that the flakes are the best expression a Virginia should be smoked. Regarding this fellow, whose good quality is indisputable, I'm enjoying the most mixed with some Rattray's Black Virginia spiced up with some Perique, a sort of home-made replica of Dorisco... and another good thing to do with: dilution of a Semois.
