| Sometimes, I am just in the mood for a black Cavendish. Not all the time, but every couple of days it is a nice change of pace. This tobacco delivers for me in that regard.
The tobacco is jet black and very rich feeling. "Raven" is a perfect name for it. It isn't as "punchy" as the MacBaren style black Cav (thinking of Black Ambrosia). It does have a little bit of that kind of mild spiciness in the bottom half of the bowl.
The toppings used by Georgetown tobacco are all very natural tasting to me. I like that. I don't like a "chemical" sense to some vanillas and other sweet casings. The vanilla taste/aroma in Raven is pleasing and mild. It is sweet, but not too sweet. It's a nice mild balance.
To me, this is a good candidate for a corn cob pipe.
