Robusto Royale
| Brand: |
John Patton |
| Tin Description: |
Using Honeymoon as a starting point, a special Robusto cigar leaf is added. This adds a tangy boldness to the mildly sweet English style blend, in which half the blend consists of four different Virginias. Minor roles are played by Burley, Turkish, Latakia, and Perique. |

| As usual, something unusual from JP's resourceful imagination. I tasted very little cigar in this blend, and almost no Latakia -- in fact, I don't really taste any of the ingredients individually. Just a combination of them, reminiscient of Kentucky Club, but with a top flavour.
The special cigar leaf that JP refers to in his notes (above) is not really noticeable, but it makes the burleys taste somehow better than any burley I have ever tasted. Don't know how JP does it, but this is a real winner. ***** I should add that John sent this to me in a set of small samples. The equivalent is available from Richard, at 4Noggins, called Cigar Royale, I think.
