| When I started smoking a pipe several years ago I started with English blends and flakes (which I still enjoy very much), but I decided I wanted to sample the world of aromatics and Park Lane makes some pretty good ones. But, Salmon River was a miss for me. It could be the odd mixture of Coffee, Maple and Vanilla. Each bowl started our well with a nice flavor profile, but as each bowl progressed the taste became cloying and left a bad taste in my mouth. The blend burns fairly dry and packs with ease. The room note is also pleasant. I think it’s worth a try for aromatic fans, but it won’t be one I will be buying again.
