There are not many old time pipe shops left in America and Park Lane is one of the few remaining. Included in their lengthy list of house blends is #3. A medium style English blend with a deep pouch scent, but while I can see the few scented Virginia Flake pieces in the blend, it by no means gives the tobacco a floral or soapy taste. There is a nice smell of Orientals along with the Latakia in the pouch. I believe that there is a fair amount of McClelland blending tobaccos that comprise this well done, medium English. There is a fair amount of complexity in the blend and it burns very cooley. It does arrive a bit moist for my taste so some dry time is needed. Fans of McClelland style English blends with a "twist" and fans of English blends on the mild side will really enjoy Park-Lane #3. Recommended.
