This Tobacco has very little flavour and I would not recommend.

I was fooled by the ease of the smoke at first but quickly realised it burns too hot and doesn't give a very good taste or smell.

I actually managed to smoke a full tin of this blend, back when I didn't have the experience to call it a day and ditch a package of tobacco that is no good.

Well, OK. The tobacco that went into the tin probably was not all that bad. But the flavouring...

Plum is OK. So is Rum. Unfortunately, the blenders of this concoction went not only over the top, but also around the courtyard, took a Saturn V to the moon and back and probably were trying to prepare for a trip to Mars. I'd love to smoke whatever they were actually smoking while putting this beauty together. So long as it's not this blend.

To the nitty-gritty, this 'baccy is actually not bad in leaf quality, but the double dose of aromas somehow grates. Makes me wish the blenders could have decided on one or the other. The result is a very hot burn that loses all its aromatic characteristics (even when using filters...) after a few puffs and leaves a fading taste of cheap tobacco that probably does not do justice to the leaf actually used.

Unfortunately, that is the impression I got back when, and still get from a recent sample I got to try thanks to a novice to whom this "blend" was recommended by a "tobacconist."

I tried this one expecting perhaps something analagous to Plumcake. Not so - in more ways than one. The Tobacco itself is uniformly of a light tan colour and has only a mild but pleasant nose from the tin. Upon considered smoking of half the tin I have put it aside as an utterly insipid, flavourless smoke which also, inexplicably, burns my eyes when I smoke it (and I have never had that happen to me before in a lifetime of pipe and cigar smoking!).

Plum&Rum is one of the better blends from the house of Exclusiv in that it is not overly cased like some of them. When opening the tin, the aroma of plums and rum really is very delicious and also very natural, not synthetic or overdone at all. The tobacco itself is distinctly light in appearance and is of the ready rubbed variety. It burns well enough but the smoke is rather inconsequential, no real body here! But this is not what this blend is about. It is aimed at the aromatic smoker who likes a light blend with a decent sweetness that is not cloying. I would say there are some orientals in it as well. In all a very easy going smoke but it won't satisfy those looking for a nicotene punch.
