| If you are not familiar with the old school aromatics that stink like the floral soap found in old ladies pocket books in the 1950s this review will not make any sense to you.
"Original" is indeed one of the crazy old school aromatics with the stinky,soapy-floral-cheap perfume casing/flavor that incredibly defies logic and good sense by becoming absolutely ENJOYABLE! Once you get paste the repulsive reek this blend you begin to really enjoy it. When you first smell it in the bag you think you'll never like it. When you first smoke it you are unsure and somewhat surprised it's not that bsd. Finally, you find yourself wanting to fire up a bowl of this stuff when you're driving down a road somewhere.
Note #1: While highly enjoyable this is not an everyday smoke for me. Also, because it is a burley blend the nictine content is definitely medium to strong.
Note #2: Peretti describes this as a milder version of "No Name."
Enjoy!

| This is indeed a full flavored aromatic Burley blend. It comes in Peretti's typical cube cut. It burns very slow and cool and is an absolute cinch to pack: Dip pipe into tobacco and fill, press gently, light.
The flavoring comes on very strong at first. It is cool, floral, herbal and sweet. I have no idea what it is, but it tastes good and smells beautiful. The first time I tried this it was just too intensely flavored for me. However I find myself craving it from time to time, so I'll try to pick up some more.
There is no black Cavendish in this blend. It is simply top notch Burley, a hint of Virginia, and some natural essence. It is not sticky, nor is it wet. A really nice old fashioned full aromatic. The flavoring tones way down about half way into it, but never dies out completely. Then the tobacco comes to the fore. It is toasty, nutty, and all in all, superb.
A very pleasant surprise for me. However, I am sure there are many who would hate it. It is very different from the typical candy smokes passed off as aromatics. This is actually surprisingly complex. Highly recommended as a change of pace for the aromatically inclined.
