| Opening the can reveals a slightly rough cut, mostly red tobacco with a high percentage of darker leaf. The aroma is that of a well matured Virginia with a hint of cigar leaf.
Packing is quite easy in any size bowl, and the tobacco takes flame readily. Once lit, it burns just as fast or slow as you wish to puff, staying quite cool at a slower pace. It can get hot if you overpuff, but it is forgiving if you speed up a bit.
The flavor is as described, medium rich Virginia sweetness with traces of cigar flavor deepening taste. The overall effect is a decidedly full mouth feel. The nicotine level is higher than average for a Va. blend but should not be overwhelming to most smokers.
When puffed slowly, the blend continues to deliver a full, rich taste with some slight nuances all the way down the bowl.
If you like GLP Robusto, then you will probably love this one, although it does not have the traces of Latakia and Oriental of Robusto. IMHO, it doesn't need them, it's just right as is.
This blend is not available in the US, due to the Havana leaf present. I wish Fox would produce it with Dominican leaf for export to us.
