| Appearance: Nicely cut ribbon mixture, showing full range of colors.
Aroma: Moderate amounts of spicy and smokey aromas over a nutty base. Little or no Virginia ripeness to the aroma.
Packing: Packs easily into any normal size pipe. A little care not to overpack, as the ribbons are soft and pliable.
Lighting: Lights quite easily, sometimes with one match.
Initial flavor: First flavor on my tongue is Oriental and Latakia, but not overpowering. The base stays in the background initially. After a minute or so, the flavor of Burley becomes noticeable.
Mid-bowl: Soft nutty flavor of good Burley starts to become more dominant, while the condiments continue to toy with my palate. Can be enjoyed without paying too much attention to it. Burns cool at reasonable puffing tempo.
Finish: Ends quietly, not much change in taste or increase in strength at the end. Dry, clean dark gray ash, typical of Burley.
Summary: A very pleasant blend for all-day if you like a Burley base. A good companion for doing tasks, as it isn?t demanding.
