With the high Latakia content you would expect a strong Cyprian leaf presence in this blend, but that isn't the case. Perhaps is is the mediation that the aged Malayan Burley provides in bringing the components into harmony. This blend fairly sings with a chorus of flavors that provide a medley, if tastes can be seen as providers of music, that speaks of sunlit fields of Autumn's coming harvest. It is very smooth, with a buttery quality that makes itself known from the first puff to the last. This is what Steve likes to say is a classic Scottish Mixture, in the old sense of the term. The sweet notes of the Lemon Virginia are well matched to the Turkish varietals, with no hint of bite, despite the absence of Perique. I recommend this one to anyone who enjoys a full flavored experience of smooth character and style. Smoke it slowly. You will not be disappointed. Meerschaum Man, smoking an old CAO Bacchus.
