| The first enjoyable thing about this blend is its appearance: it's a flake, in little, almost square slices and the tobaccos are clearly separated: a light stripe in the middle of two darker ones, really unique! The smell reminds of dried fruits, but it's unobtrusive and pleasant. The small flakes are easy to rub, but the packing is easy even if you use a traditional flake packing; just pay attention to give it some air before, because, although not really moist, the tobacco is very greasy, oily.
At the match it's easy to light up, but it can be biting if you aren't used to aromatics, but then it doesn't create any problem of heat or moisture if puffed slowly. The flavour keeps up all way down but, as when you smell it, is unobtrusive. The other main fragrance is the Virginia, sweet and strong enough to satisfy and suit an after lunch smoke, while the kentucky smoothens it all and helps keeping the heat at relatively low levels.
Finally, the smoke proceeds evenly without notable peaks, the flavour of both tobaccos and casing is still present at the end of the bowl. This is a recommended blend for the aromatic lover, but also a nice change of pace for English blends fans.
