| First of all - I am a total Maplephile and I have been checking out Maple tobacco blends for some time.
Based on the previous review - I really wanted to like this blend -and give it 5 stars - but I am finding the Maple in this tobacco tends to lean towards a Maple Sap kind of taste.
This Maple blend will appeal to those folks who don't like their aromatics overly sweet. In comparison - Vermont Maple Cavendish by Pipeworks & Wilke - is definitely on the sweeter/praline side of the Maple Spectrum - which is something I really enjoy.
The blend smokes well and is layered with a buttery/toffee component - sometimes vanilla. There is a lovely fullness on the palate. I don't get rum or brown sugar per se - but it does have a wonderful complexity.
I would love this blend more if the Maple Flavor would be a wee more pronounced. I will definitely order more when I am looking for a Maple blend ala Naturale.
I have been smoking this blend more often - So - I may upgrade it to 5 stars - right now - 4 stars. Vermont Maple Cavendish gets 5. This blend is Definitely Recommended.
